Churchyard Group

St Mary's boasts an historic and extensive churchyard.  As well as being the resting-place for many of Hendon's residents over the centuries, it is also a haven for wildlife, trees and plants.

In 2009 a dedicated team set to work to bring the churchyard back to life after many years of neglect.  The team works on occasional Saturdays, and more volunteers are always welcome.
